Future Leaders Academy
Immersive Pre-College Experience
Washington, D.C. | Grades 11-12

ABOUT
The Meridian Future Leaders Academy is a one-week pre-college summer program in Washington, D.C. designed for rising high school juniors and seniors. More than a summer experience, it’s a launchpad for future leaders interested in international relations, diplomacy, business, public policy, and law.
Hosted at Meridian International Center’s historic campus, students step into the world of global affairs—meeting diplomatic leaders, visiting embassies, and engaging in real-time policy simulations on issues from trade diplomacy to AI governance.
This hands-on experience prepares students for college success and global careers. Participants earn a Global Leadership Certificate, join a lifelong alumni network, and gain resume-ready skills in leadership, negotiation, and public speaking.
Every student is matched with a mentor who provides 1:1 guidance and professional support. With only 25 students per cohort, participants enjoy direct access to instructors, speakers, and peers—building confidence and connections that last well beyond the program.
Leadership is learned by doing. Students will:
Engage directly with experienced diplomats, policy leaders, and international changemakers
Participate in diplomatic simulations and policy case studies
Gain real-world insights into how global challenges are addressed at the highest levels
